The Virgin Media has made an estimate that now; more than 2.5 million devices are registered on London Underground. Additionally, more than 3 Terabytes of data is downloaded in a single day.

The latest terminals offering WiFi connections are East Ham, Morden, Richmond, Barking, Upminster and Wimbledon. These terminals are offering free WiFi connection to Vodafone, Virgin, EE, O2 and Three customers. From now, the passengers can freely enjoy this service by getting latest news, social media info and more from WiFi internet. The passengers who have WiFi enabled device such as Smartphones, tablets and laptops.

All the passengers can use WiFi services in platforms, ticket hall as well as in walking areas but except in tunnels and between stations. Actually, Virgin media has created WiFi hotspots in few selected tubes so you will get WiFi connection from the moment you will enter at the station until your tube leaves the platform. After that, there will be no coverage in between stations and in tunnels but as soon as your train reaches to the next station which will be WiFi-enabled then, your device will automatically connect to wireless internet service.

You can use maximum 3 devices on the London Underground tube but, you will need to register each device at once. The whole registering process like your complete details and password will be required at first time then, whenever you travel on London underground trains, it will automatically recognized and will get started by itself. You won’t need to re-enter any previous details again.
