Sometimes it’s really annoying when somebody tags you in a Facebook photo or video, even if you don’t want to be tagged in, or when you upload a photo and it starts giving you random suggestions of your friends that you can tag in this picture. It happens due to the face-recognition feature of Facebook that suggests your visually similar friends to be tagged in that picture. If these tagging suggestions irritate you, or you are generally concerned about your privacy over the internet, you can easily avoid your name from being suggested by Facebook for tagging in some photo or post.
Here I am going to tell you a trick about How to Prevent Facebook from Suggesting Your Name for Tagging by following the below mentioned steps:
Log in to your Facebook account and click the down arrow on the right side of the blue bar at the top of your home page.
Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
A new webpage will open. Click on “Timeline and Tagging” from the menu at the right side.
It will further show you some options. In “How can I manage tags people add and tagging suggestions” section, click the “Edit” link to the right of “Who sees tag suggestions when photos that look like you are uploaded.”
Your selection will further expand more options. Choose “No One” from the drop-down list.
Click on “Close” to hide the details of this menu.
Your settings have now been changed and nobody will be able to see your name suggested when they upload a picture or post.
Note: But remember, these settings do not prevent people from uploading your pictures or tagging you in their posts. It just does not remind them to use your name as a tag.
