LG Announces Global Roll Out Of Its Funky AKA Smartphones

LG Electronics has announced that it is rolling out the funky AKA Smartphones globally. Hong Kong will be the first market outside South Korea to get the phone, followed by China, Taiwan, Singapore and Turkey. As LG had introduced the AKA Smartphones in South Korea last year in November, aimed to focus at young users, so these Smartphones have received positive feedback and healthy sales due to their originally and funny elements.

The company has created these Smartphones with a personality and will be released in four personas – Eggy in yellow (for those who frequently falls in love), Wooky (that is so impulsive), Yo-Yo (always on a diet) and Soul (soft-hearted and music loving). The company says the character’s personalities are an integral part of each phone as they are woven into wallpapers, ringtones and widgets.

Coming to the specifications, these funky AKA Smartphones has a 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.2GHz quad core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot. They are packed with a removable 2610 mAh battery, 8 mega-pixel rear camera with auto-focus, 2.1MP front shooter and runs rather old Android 4.4 KitKat.

The device also offers connectivity options such as 4G LTE support, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, and USB 2.0. The company has further added a bundle of several stickers with the phone to help you to customize it as per your wish.
