Taj Mahal will get free Wi-Fi availability on 16 June

Taj Mahal will get free Wi-Fi availability on 16 June of this year. This is really a good news for visitors. If you are planning to visit taj mahal in this june then this would be a perfect decision ever.

The General Manager of BSNL Prdeep Kumar has told to IANS that all the trial and tasks have been completed and this free wi-fi availability will be launched by union Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in Agra on the upcoming June 16.

However, because of security and other reasons the ASI has permitted the wi-fi availability in a radius of 30 metres from the main door of Taj Mahal. According to the report, visitors will be able to access the Wi-Fi for 30 minutes for free of cost. However, ant extra browsing or downloading will charge 30 rps per hour.

Here is the list of some selected areas where the wi-fi will be available soon:

  • Taj Mahal – UP West Circle
  • Sarnath Temple- UP East Circle
  • Fatehpur Sikri- UP West Circle
  • Jagannath Temple- Odisha Circle
  • Konark Temple- Odisha Circle
  • Hampi- Karnataka Circle
  • Bodh Gaya- Bihar Circle
  • Shore Temple- Tamil Nadu Circle
  • Thanjaur- Tamil Nadu Circle
  • Khajurao- MP Circle

Taj Mahal, that was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz, is a great tourism place as it is the one among the seven beautiful wonders of the world. Official reported that there were severe complaints about the lack of Wi-Fi availability, specially foreigners complaint most. For this, the Archaelogical Survey of India (ASI) requested the BSNL to work on that project to somehow start the wi-fi availability on Taj Mahal premises.

The recent development of India tourism said that this free Wi-Fi availability will definitely attract tourists to visit Taj Mahal more than earlier. So, when you’re planning to visit there?
